Miami Select Team

Its time to register for Summer Select. The Select team last Fall surprised many teams from around the country. We have many of our select players that are now being recruited by colleges, from around the country, because they were seen in the Pink and Blue of the Select Team at the tournaments we attended.  We expect the same during the summer season.

The Makos will field two teams this summer, U17 and U19.  If there is a demand for U15 we will put one together and take it to tournaments.  This summer if your schedule does not allow you to travel to the tournaments you can join the team as a practice player.

Each team will be entered in two recruiting tournaments.  The tournaments are on different dates, which will allow us to take the best team possible to each tournament.  the U19 team will travel to Bryant University in Rhode Island on July 13-16 and the second session of the Chicago Challenge on July 25-27.  The U17 team will travel to North Carolina to play in the Southern Sizzle on June 28-29, and the first session of the Chicago Challenge July 18-20.  Although the U19 players can only play in the U19 tournaments, U17 players can play in all four if they choose.

All players that register will play.

Transportation, hotel rooms, and meals are the responsibilty of the player and are not part of the team fee.  The Bryant Tournament has a $500.00 registration fee that covers room and board, and the Chicago Tournaments have a $300.00 registration fee that covers room and board.  These fees are the responsibility of the players, and are not part of the team fee.

The first practice will be held at 7:00pm, at Tropical Park, on June 10, 2008 at the Old Soccer Field.  You must register for the team before you will be allowed to practice.  Please read the fee structure below, there are many options, and you will want to make sure that you are registering for the correct option.

Tournament fees cover field rental for practice, coaches fees, uniform (new design for 2008), and helmet.  Practice players do not receive uniform and helmet.  Practice Player fees cover field rental for practice, and coaches fees.
