Welcome to the Miami Lacrosse Association. The mission of the MLA is to inform the public of lacrosse in the Miami area and to promote the growth of our sport. The MLA is a not-for-profit organization whose goals are to help build lacrosse at all levels in Miami-Dade County. If you would like to help financially you can donate to the MLA, if you are interested in helping in other ways, we are always looking for hard working people. • MIAMI SELECT TEAM NEWS: The Select U19 Team will be going to Bryant Team Camp (July 13-16, 2008) and the Chicago Challenge (July 25-27, 2008). The U17 Team will be going to the Chicago Challenge (July 18-20) and a tournament to be determined soon. We will take a U15 team to an out of state tournament if there is interest in a U13 team. The MLA would like to add a high school girl's travel team this summer if there is interest.

• Lightning Lacrosse Camp (June 16-19, 2008): Liam Banks is returning this summer with an All Star Line Up to Barry University. This year you will be taught by Todd Fairlie - Asst. INTERESTED IN OFFICIATING LACROSSE?: Miami-Dade County is in need of lacrosse officials at all levels. The Men's season runs from September to March, and the High School season runs from January until May, with games being played from mid February up to the second week on May. The South Florida High School Lacrosse League offers very competitive referee fees, a one time $100.00 stipend to buy your uniform, and free officiating clinincs. The SFHSLL's District 1 covers all high school and middle school lacrosse games in Miami-Dade County. No lacrosse experience is necessary, some officiating experince is reccomended, but not needed. Coming Soon In 2008: Lax Zone Miami. Miami lacrosse players and fans will soon have there own lacrosse store to go to. Lax Zone will be located in Palmetto Bay, no more expensive internet shopping or buying from sports stores that over charge you for a limited inventory.
